SplashBack is a competitive multiplayer arena shooter with no direct damage, only environmental kills. Progressed to the 2nd phase of Dare To Be Digital

  • Helmed the design and development of all technical aspects of the game, refining it following playtest sessions

  • Designed an artist/designer-friendly item spawning system, to quickly and easily add weapons and powerups

  • Broke down and delegated tasks for the art team to hit periodic milestones using Trello

EMAP Soundgate is an app for exploring music from 3 different periods at different locations: Paphos, Stonehenge and Spanish Prehistoric Caves.

  • Created a mobile player controller with pinch to zoom, drag to rotate and tap to move

  • Integrated FMOD Plugin to allow the sound designer to implement sounds with authentic reverberation

  • Optimised, signed and packaged the app for mobile, creating store listings for the Play Store and App Store

Troubleshot lighting

Competitive Cabbage Farming where you aim to grow your cabbages by casting water spells on them, whilst burning your opponents' cabbages with fire spells. Made during a 16-hour Makey-Makey jam, complete with footpads, magic wands and cabbage plungers

  • Rigged up input for local multiplayer using keyboard, controllers or cabbages

  • Helped ideate our physical controller designs and balanced gameplay around them

  • Made a custom player controller to allow 2 pawns to be controlled by 1 keyboard
